WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - SEPTEMBER 24, 2023

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will begin a 2-Part sermon series entitled "The Vision of the Glorified Son of God".  This teaching will be based upon Revelation 1:9-18, and the words will encourage us with "the vision of the glorified Son of God" in all of His magnificance, in all of His majesty, and in all of His spendor!  The Apostle Paul, while on the Isle of Patmos, was given a Revelation that gave words of encouragement, words of warning, as well as a summary of future events leading up through the End of Days, including the return of our Lord Jesus Christ and the final judgment of all mankind who chose not to believe in the Messiah.  Paul documented all that he saw and heard in the Book of Revelation, which remains a powerful message for us today.  Today's message will focus on the beginning of the revelation and the letters to the seven churches of Asia Minor.  The contents of these letters apply to the Church in current times.  If you want to know more about the vision that Paul saw, please join us this Sunday, in person or online via Facebook, at 10:30 a.m.   Everyone is welcome!!!

MORNING WORSHIP AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - SEPTEMBER 17, 2023

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will bring to a close the expositional sermon series "THE CHRISTIAN'S PRAYER LIFE" with Part V, from the text in Ephesians 6:18-20.  The focus this week will be that "Prayer must be all-encompassing".  There are three elemental truths about this prayer characteristic.  Last week, we learned that we are called to ask and seek God for specific answers, and that when we pray, we are to pray with alertness and with perseverance.  This week, we will hear about the third elemental truth:  We are called to pray for one another.  Ephesians 6:18-19 tells us in the Apostle Paul's words that we are to pray, "...making supplication for all the saints, and also for me..."  As believers, we are part of the Body of Christ - His Church - and as such we are to pray for one another.  We encourage you - believers and non-believers - to join us this Sunday, in person or online via Facebook, to discover more about the power of prayer in a Christian's life.  Effective prayer enables us to strengthen our relationship with our Lord and to stand strong against the darkness of this world.  Come join us!  Everyone is welcome!

WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - SEPTEMBER 10, 2023

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will return to the book of Ephesians as we move forward in the sermon series "The Christian's Prayer Life".  This week's focus on prayer is "Characteristic IV - Prayer is to be All-encompassing."  Each person's prayers may look and sound different, but the content of the prayer is to be specific and honoring to God.  We can be assured that God hears our prayers and He will answer them when we pray with His will in mind.  He may not answer them in a way that we want, but He will answer in a way that is best for us and according to His plan for us.  If you want to find out more about improving your prayer life, join us this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. either in person or online via Facebook.  Everyone is welcome!!

WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - SEPTEMBER 3, 2023

This Sunday, our Associate Pastor, Craig Ison, will be sharing a message from Romans - Chapter 1 - Verses 16-32.  Being a Christian has never been an easy life.  In fact, Jesus warned us that in this world we will have trouble and will be persecuted for righteousness sake.  As we look back in history, we can always learn something new that we can apply to our lives.  Early Christians suffered, but through that suffering, their faith grew.  The closer they walked with God, they learned that their only hope was in God.  Today's culture may look a little different, but we face very similar challenges.  Idol worship, false doctrines, government and social persecution, injustice.  The process is still the same...we must first accept God's gift of salvation through the price Jesus paid for our redemption.  Then every day after that, we must believe that the closer we walk with God, the more our faith grows, and the better equipped we are to stand against the enemy.  To get closer to God, we must submit our will to His will...study His Word...pray for guidance and understanding...give of yourself to help others.  If you want to hear more about the correlation between life in the early church and how we live today in our chaotic world, join us in person or online via Facebook at 10:30 a.m.  Everyone is welcome!

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will deliver Part III of the sermon series "THE CHRISTIAN'S PRAYER LIFE", based upon Scriptures found in Ephesians 6:10-20.  This week's message will focus on what it means to "pray in the Spirit", using the prayers of our Lord Jesus Christ and the prayers of Apostle Paul as examples.  Our prayers should be consistent with the will and nature of God, not just a personal "wish list".  Come and join us as we expand our knowledge and practice of "praying in the Spirit".  You can hear the sermon in person or online via Facebook at 10:30 a.m. (CST).  Everyone is welcome!

WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - SUNDAY, AUGUST 6, 2023

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will begin a new sermon series on "The Christian's Prayer Life".  This message brings us back to the book of Ephesians 6, Verses 18-20.  Having finished the sermon series about putting on and keeping on the whole Armor of God, this brings us to the next step in how we are to keep on that armor.  Prayer is how we commune with God, and He is available to us at any time, any where, for any reason.  What a powerful, loving God we serve!!!  The Apostle Paul's message to the Ephesians emphasizes for us one of the most important aspects, if not THE most important aspect, of our Christian life, both in corporate worship and as an individual .... PRAYER!  Over the next few weeks we will delve even deeper into the characteristics of an effective prayer life.  You can join us to find out more about how to strengthen your communion with God through prayer -- our service begins at 10:30 a.m., in person or online via Facebook.  Everyone is welcome!

We will also be having a baptism portion of this service -- all to the glory of God!!!!

WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - JULY 30, 2023

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will be delivering a special salvation message based on John 3:16-17.  Salvation is a free gift from God.  Because of God's infinite love for humanity, even in our wickedness, He had a divine plan for us to be saved from our deserved punishment.  Because He is a just God, He knew an eternal sacrifice had to be made for our redemption from sin, so "He gave His One and Only Son" to die on the cross.  Jesus willingly gave His life to make the way for us to be with Him in heaven eternally, and to fulfill His Father's will.  To gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to be saved, and to become a follower of Jesus Christ, please join us this Sunday at 10:30 a.m., either in person or online, to hear this beautiful message.  Everyone is welcome!

MORING WORSHIP AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - JULY 16, 2023

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will deliver the second part of his message:  "The Church Offering:  A Barometer of Our Worship."  We are called to be "Stewards of His Creation".  We were created by God, for God.  As His followers, we acknowledge that all that we have - time, talents, and treasures -- already belong to Him.  As a steward of God, we are to carefully managed what has been entrusted in our care and to use these gifts to bring glory to God and His Kingdom.  Last week, we learned how our offerings to God is an act of worship of God.  This week, the message will focus on how our giving must be regular, personal, and proportionate to what we have been given.  Join us on Sunday at 10:30 am to learn more about being a better steward of God in our daily lives.  The service is available in person at the church and online through Facebook.  We hope to see you on Sunday!  Everyone is welcome!

MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - JULY 9, 2023

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will be delivering the first part of a two-part message, "The Church Offering:  A Barometer of Our Worship".  The focus of the message centers around how we manage all that is entrusted to us.  God created all things.  He blesses us with TIME, TALENTS, and TREASURES.  How we use these blessings is a great indicator of the depth of our worship of God.  Everything we have God has already provided...it's not about how much we have, but how willing we are to be obedient to using what we have to give God glory.

Come and find out more about being a better steward of the blessings God has given us.  Join us in person or online via Facebook at 10:30 a.m.  Everyone is welcome.

MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - JULY 2, 2023

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson's message will be Part II of the message centered around Caleb, one of the lesser known men who wholly depended upon God.   He was faithful to God, extremely courageous, and had the boldness to stand up for God when other Israelites threatened to kill him.  His relationship with God came from his neverending communion with God every day.  Caleb's life of relentless faith in God should serve as an example for us to rise up to the pursuit of a closer relationship with our holy God -- the benevolent Father, Jesus the Son of God and Savior of the world, and the Holy Spirit of God, comforter and guide.  Join us this Sunday and find out how Caleb's example of his love for God and his actions of faith are still a guiding light for us today.  You can hear this message in person or online - the service begins at 10:30 a.m.  Everyone is welcome!

SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - JUNE 4, 2023

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will finish his sermon series about the Armor of God.  Building on the sermon from two weeks ago on the "Sword of the Spirit", which focused on Identifying the Sword and Attributes of the Sword, this week's sermon will present to us the "Blessings of the Sword" and the "Tactical Use of the Sword".

This mighty Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God.  As believers, we cannot just be familiar with the words of God, but we are called to study them, meditate upon them, and be ready to recall specific passages so that we will be able to stand firm on what God's Word says when Satan attacks.  We can never depend on our own strength to fight a spiritual battle, but God's Word gives us His strength to depend on, because He has already overcome Satan and will continue to fight for us!

Please join us this Sunday, June 4, at 10:30 a.m., either in person or online, to find out more about The Armor of God!  Everyone is welcome!

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will return to Ephesians - Chapter 6:10-17, with a focus on Verse 17b - "The Sword of the Spirit".  The sword that Apostle Paul is referring to is the Bible, God's Holy Word.  As believers, we know that the Bible was written by men under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.  The Bible is our "supernatural sword" whose origin is that of the Holy Spirit, who teaches us truth from God's Word and leads and guides us every day!  If you want to find out more about the Holy Spirit, the Third Person in the Triune God, please join us in person or online this coming Sunday!   Service starts at 10:30 a.m. at the church and on Facebook.  Everyone is welcome!

MORNING WORSHIP AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - MAY 7, 2023

This Sunday, Associate Pastor Craig Ison will be delivering the message "From Saul the Persecuter of Christians to Paul the Apostle of Jesus Christ", based upon Romans 1:1-17.  This message picks up from last week's message that talked about how Saul was so bound up by his religion that he felt that he not only thought it was right but his duty to punish and persecute those who dared to disagree with his own views and beliefs.  But then...he met Jesus.

This week's message focuses on Paul's transformation from Saul the persecuter to Paul the Apostle.  Paul became the proclaimer of Jesus as not only the promised Messiah but also as the only way to salvation.  He became a willing "slave" to Jesus, preaching the gospel to the "Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish".  That means to everyone, everywhere!  There is no sinner that Jesus can't save!  The message is to everyone...but not all will accept this precious gift!  Join us this Sunday to hear more about Paul's story of redemption - either online on Facebook or in person - at 10:30 a.m.   Everyone is welcome!!!
