This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will be speaking about how we can have joy even when we are going through difficult times. As believers, we have the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us and to remind us that this life is temporal. Our eyes look forward to eternity with God, which helps us keep things in perspective when we face life's challenges. The message is based upon Acts 16 and the story of Paul and Silas who were severely beaten and thrown into prison for the Gospel's sake. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, they were found praying and singing hymns so that the other prisoners could hear. Paul and Silas knew there was a higher purpose for their suffering.
