WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2023
This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will continue his sermon series, "The Vision of the Glorified Son of Man", with Part II. Last week, we learned that the Apostle Paul, while on the Isle of Patmos, was given a very special message by God to write down in a book and deliver to the seven churches - Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea. Paul was also given a vision of things "that are and those that are to take place after this". His writings are recorded in the book of "Revelation". The focus last week was on "The Voice He Heard" and part of "The Vision He Observed". This week, we will hear a more in-depth description of the "Vision" and what it means to us today. The message will end with a description of Paul's amazing reverence and awe when he beheld the "glorified and exalted Son of God" ... Christ's relationship with His Church is based upon eternal love, so powerful that we cannot even begin to understand it with our human minds. The Book of Revelation is still for us today because it all points to the future events surrounding the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
